I AM ALIVE. I AM WELL. I AM EXCITED FOR A DANCE PERFORMANCE TO BE COMPLETED TOMORROW SO LIFE AS I KNOW IT CAN CONTINUE ON.
CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS WILL BE UNVEILED, FUN WILL BE HAD, AND FAMILY WILL BE VISITED WHEN THIS PERFORMANCE ENDS.
LEAVES ARE BEING BLOWN FROM THEIR TREES TODAY, MOVING ON AFTER ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SEASON OF RE-GROWTH, THRIVING, AND MATURING.
TODAY I FEEL LIKE THOSE LEAVES- READY TO TAKE WHAT I'VE LEARNED IN THE LAST LITTLE WHILE AND BLOW ON TO THE NEXT BIG THING.
ON THURSDAY... MY LIFE WILL BEGIN AGAIN.

Just read your post on Motherhood and I just had to leave you my thoughts. I don't know if it will help but I'll give it a shot!
ReplyDeleteBeing a stay at home Mom in my opinion is the hardest job, but mostly because it is 24/7. There is no time off, no specific breaks. Naps come but they are never guaranteed and not always the same time. Things happen that make you want to scream but with that all said there is nothing else in the world I would ever want to do. Staying home isn't for everybody and that is fine but it is definitely for me. With any job there will be good days and bad. The thing about being a Mom is that you are expected to always be your best. Your kids always depend on you and want you for everything. That can be really hard at times especially at 3 AM. In that case you may not get on make up that day or even get to shower but it's ok because your kids have YOU. I don't mean to scare you in fact I am trying to do the opposite. There is nothing more rewarding then putting in a good hard day of work and knowing that your kids are happy, healthy and in a great invironment for them to grow, mature and most importantly learn the gospel. With Bailey now 2 we have been blown away with her and how much she pics up on things. She is learning about Jesus and she remembers things she learns in nursery. It's crazy when I hear her talk about the things she learned that week at church. To know I am the one that gets to teach her and help her learn and remember the things she learns means more to me then anything. I couldn't imagine leaving them everyday. I went to our relief society tonight and was excited to go, but when I walked in that door and had her run to me and give me the biggest hug and have my sweet little boy sleeping so sound in his daddy's arms, nothing beats it! All those hard days are so worth it. I wouldn't change anything for the world. You are going to be such a great Mom and if you have that desire to stay home too and sounds like you do, you really will love it. It's OK to have bad days, it's most important that your kids can have you!
With that said I have nothing against mothers who work. I just feel I need to be with my kids. That's the great thing about this life is we get to choose. Some don't get to choose and have to work for finance reasons and that's just fine. Just needed to clarify for any readers. :)
Thanks Linds. I e-mailed you a response to this beautiful "comment". You are great. Much love.
